Regarding my potential lender : Better Mortgage Corporation Better provided a loan estimate at the beginning of XXXX. Under the " Calculating Cash To Close '' section of their loan estimate while I was comparing lenders they incorporated a {$3700.00} credit on the " Adjustments and Other Credits '' line. This line item was never discussed until today XX/XX/10 after they removed it. I emailed them to ask about this line item on XXXX XXXX with no response. The response I received from them today ( XXXX ) the credit is their assumption that the seller has unpaid taxes which would lead me to bring less money close. How can any lender assume this and place it on a " good faith '' estimate? I noticed other lenders we've worked with or asked for a loan estimate from never assumed the seller would be providing tax credits or even filled in any credit on this line item within a loan estimate. This is very misleading. It played a factor in selecting Better as a lender. They removed it yesterday as I'm soon to close on my house. Now I'm expected to bring more than {$3000.00} extra to closing. I want to make you aware as a concerned consumer. I don't want anyone else to be blind sided by this type of situation.
