Unfortunately My father passed away XX/XX/2021. I was left to keep up with everything. I found 3 checks under my fathers name at home, he had the tendency of sometimes forgetting to cash them out, so with everything going on ( funeral, bills, school, mychildren, work ) I didnt have time to go up to the bank ( chase bank ) so I deposit all 3 checks to my account thru my mobile app didnt think it would be an issue since Im his XXXX daughter. I deposit 2 of them on XX/XX/2021 one for the amount of {$700.00} which was returned for altered and another for {$630.00} which was returned for NFS and the 3rd one was deposit via atm XX/XX/2021 for the amount of {$550.00}. I went to the bank office and I also called explaining the situation I had no way of knowing if they where cashed or not I also tried to explain he passed away but he signed all 3 of them tried to provide death certificate but I was turned away without any help or chance. And was told my account would close without further investigation. I wasnt even told I had to find out thru my mobile app. I never received a letter from them at all.
