On XX/XX/XXXX I deposited a payroll check on the mobile app with Citibank. They check was going to be held ; so I proceeded to asking an agent thru the mobichat if they could stop the deposit so I could cash the check and I was informed I could cash it. Two days later XXXX the cash checking place I used called me back that the check was returned. After I found out Citibank was closing my account. Ever since then I have tried many many times to get answer to when will I receive the funds from the account when it was closed and they keep giving me different answers. First, they told me they would send a check it should take 5 to 7 buissness days I never received it. After they told me it was 10 to 15 buisness days that I should receive it by XXXX XXXX. Never received it. Now they tell me they never send a check and that they are awaiting the response from another dept. Which I can not talk to to see if the funds are going to be released to me. I have tried escalating the matter, speaking to supervisors. XXXX XXXX XXXX and have not gotten any answers. At this point because I had to pay XXXX back I am getting wage garnishment to pay XXXX the money back. The check was in the amount of {$490.00}. I have the last account statement that they sent. Which says the ending balance was {$490.00} there is a {$5.00} Non citibank Atm fee which I dont know why because I didnt withdraw any money on XX/XX/XXXX, a XXXX monthly service fee also XX/XX/XXXX and says other withdrawal XXXX. Which I never withdrew because my account was locked.
