I was preapproved for a mortgage on a home in NJ. I'm a first time home buyer with excellent credit and 20 % down for the purchase. Rocket Mortgage/Quicken Loans approved the mortgage and informed me there were no issues and we would close on time with no problems. One day before closing, Rocket/Quicken informs me of an issue with the home being in probate. I was not aware of this and 1 day before closing is not the appropriate time to tell me this. They then proceed to have the loan looked at by their research team who comes back and tells me the loan is no longer approved. This is 1 day before I close on the home. In addition this was a relocation and my goods being relocated were on schedule to arrive to the home after the weekend I closed. Due to Rocket Mortgage incompetence, I had to scramble to reschedule the relocation truck, cancel a XXXX reservation and track deliveries that were scheduled after the closing. I'm wondering how/why Rocket/Quicken can do this after approving me and after all their requests were approved by attorney review and title review. Can you assist in any way?
