We closed on our house last month. At the time of closing we paid all fees to include our taxes. Despite being advised by our closing attorney ( and I have emails to show this ) the mortgage company decided to not wire the money for taxes, instead they deducted it and kept it. Where this becomes a problem is they sold our loan quickly to another company and now no one can tell us where this money is. We have been working with our local branch and are told no one can find it. We have called customer service at Primary Residential Mortgage and are told we never had an account with them. We keep getting the run around despite having emails given to us by the attorney showing that XXXX kept our money. I have tried sending emails to the closing representative at XXXX and they refuse to respond to me. At this point no one can tell us where our money is and will not communicate with us. It seems they have kept our money and are claiming to have no record of it. Again we have documentation that they did not follow normal procedure and were advised against doing this by our attorney, XXXX refused to comply with the attorney recommendation and this has resulted in the loss of our money. We are beginning to suspect they have stolen our money or doing some form of illegal activities. I have exhausted all avenues other than someone with the government investigating what happened, so we are not out more money to pay our property taxes.
