On XX/XX/2021 I authorized Citibank to wire to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX, the amount of XXXX ( XXXX XXXX ), which at the time equaled {$9600.00} USD. The money was taken from my account on that day, but the intended recipient never received it. I have complained to them several times and finally submitted a formal complaint dated XX/XX/2021, of which is acknowledged in a letter from Citibank, attached. Subsequently, I have been talking to them through their website chat venue ( attached ), and I consistently called them. They keep saying that they're working on it. I ask to speak to a supervisor and only once in the XXXX months did I finally get through to a supervisor. He sounded like he's taking care of it, but nothing happened. The intermediary bank that they used to do the transfer was XXXX. I don't understand the problem, let them get their XXXX branch on the phone and work this out. Why must I suffer?! Finally, on XX/XX/2021, I get a letter from Citibank saying the following : " Based on the information you provided and the results of our research we determined that the funds were not made available to the recipient for the amount mentioned in the disclosure. '' They even posted a credit in the amount of {$35.00} for the wire transfer fee and {$22.00} for the third-party fees to my account. So, they credited me the small money, because they failed on the wire transfer, but the wire transfer itself, they didnt reimburse yet. I got the wire fees back, but the {$9600.00} is still not returned to me. I have been asking them for XXXX months to just recall the wire, or pay me back, because it was never received. I even called the bank in XXXX and spoke directly to the bank manager. He told me if Citibank recalls the wire, he will send it back. This should not be my problem. This is a screw-up by the bank, and they should reimburse me immediately while they continue dealing with it. I want my money back.
