I had fraud charges on my account in XX/XX/2021, which I noticed as I received an email to review my purchases at XXXX XXXX. When I clicked on the items that were purchased, but not by myself, I called to report fraud on the card for charges I did not make. XXXX XXXX XXXX card servicing company, Synchrony Bank cancelled my card and issued a new card. The fraud charge was taken off the account, but new balance transfers were showing up on the new account. It has taken months and several long phone calls to find out what is going on with these billing errors. On XX/XX/XXXX, I faxed a dispute for the charges as I did not want my credit score to be impacted by an error caused by Synchrony Bank, which has happened in the past. According to the FTC, I am to have my dispute acknowledged by Synchrony Bank within 30 days and am not to receive any interest/late fees related to the disputed amount to show on my account. Over the past two months, I have been calling Synchrony Bank to follow up on the dispute and also to request they remove the interest charges. On this months ' statement ( XX/XX/2021 ) I am being charged a late fee in addition to interest charge. I called Synchrony Bank today when I logged into my account and see it showing as delinquent and asked to have an update on the Dispute I faxed to them on XX/XX/XXXX. I have informed them they are doing exactly what I am to be protected from according to the FTC consumer protection laws.
