I am currently unemployed and I was in contact with my state, IL, unemployment for over 10 months because, as it happen to thousands of people that lost their job because of Covid-19, my name and information was used to claim unemployment. As mentioned, this was an issue with the state 's system being compromised. After about 10 months of providing proof to my state agency, I was awarded back pay for 6 months. This was sent to my banking institution as direct deposit on XX/XX/2021. After an email sent by my states unemployment office to me stating that my bank, Chase Bank, refused the direct deposit, I got in contact with the bank. To my surprise and long discussion with a representative on Chase, they told me that my account, XXXX checking and XXXX savings, were restricted and they did not want anymore business with me. I was very upset as I've been a customer of Chase for over 20 years. The representative told me to go to a branch office and I would get my funds. I went to the branch office and after an hour of waiting they told me that the funds will be mailed to me on a check and that it would take 10 days. After that time expired and on XX/XX/XXXX, I got my statements where it indicated my balances but no funds were sent to me. It was well past over the 10 days they mentioned but they first mentioned to go withdraw my funds but the bank refused to give me my funds and stated that they were going to be mailed. Well to this date, my funds have not been mailed to me, XX/XX/2021. I have talked to the branch manager, the customer service, and they finally gave me a case number but but it has been almost a month and they keep telling me the same thing. It is still on the fraud department and they have not given us an answer. This is what the representative tells me every time. They have bounced me between representatives and this is really affecting my life as I dont have an income because I am unemployed for a year now. I can assure you that this is a huge mistake as I am an honest person and the funds on those accounts are part of the hard I worked for 30 years before being laid-off. I need help to get this resolved as they have not listen to me, they are not helping me and they really dont care about my current situation. I need my funds returned to me now. It has been a long time and I have no income and my bills are not getting pay. Please provide any help for me. Thank you.
