I received a text from this phone number : XXXX ( XXXX ) XXXX Saying I have alerts with CITI bank. I do not own any accounts nor have any affiliations with CITI bank under my name/ social security. The text states I have an account with them ending in a number I dont recognize. And a sketchy link to a CITI banks alert site. I checked online and you would only be texted an SMS alert from CITI if you register on their app to do a 2 step authentication. CITI bank also states the phone numbers they send alerts from and that number is not listed. This phone number is also a personal number registered from New Jersey. Pleas look into this as this is a scam and also a fraudulent banking scheme.
