I hold a mortgage loan ( # XXXX ) with Bank of America. I have never missed a payment on my loan. My monthly payment has never been late. I received letter from Bank of America that says that my bank ( XXXX & XXXX ) has placed a stop payment on my monthly mortgage payment to Bank of America. I called my bank and they told me that there is absolutely no stop payment on my account. I called Bank of America. They gave me vague answers and could not explain why my automatic mortgage payment was stopped. They promised me that it will be corrected. I made that monthly payment over the phone. After one week, I received another letter from Bank of America that demanded payment from me and the letter threatened me that if I do not make payment I will be charged late fee and it will affect my credit score. I called Bank of America again and was told that I should ignore that letter. There is nothing I should do. I received another letter that says that they are unable to draw money from my bank due to stop payment. I called Bank of America again and they could not explain to me. They want me to setup automatic payments again, because they made errors. I feel that Bank of America is harassing me through this process. I have wasted several hours. The threatening letters actually are nerve recking. I suspect Bank of America is deliberately not fixing this problem and wants to charge me for their errors.
