On XX/XX/2021 XXXX XXXX XXXX Syncrony Bank ) With whom I have a lease program with my XXXX XXXX made an unauthorized withdrawal from my checking account in the amount of {$280.00}. This withdrawal caused my account to become overdrawn when authorized payments cleared, resulting in my account being charged an overdraft fee of {$35.00}. On XXXX XXXX upon becoming aware of the overdraft I was forced to make a deposit from my savings of {$100.00} to cover the overdraft and fees incurred. I sent this bank a letter and then called them on XXXX XXXX when I did not hear from them. They requested a copy of the bank statement which was sent about XXXX XXXX. Since that time I have heard nothing from this bank and am tired of messing with them. Hence this complaint. The name of the bank is Syncrony Bank ( formerly XXXXXXXX XXXX ) XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. The Account Number is # XXXX. All I have asked is that this bank refund the {$35.00} overdraft fee incurred due to their error. It took me about 2 & 1/2 hrs. to find where the mistake was made and get my bank to refund the $ XXXX is my hope your department can force this bank to correct their error they cost me. I prefer to do things this way rather than the Courts if possible. The name of the party responsible for the Charge was different than mine, which the bank should have checked.
