Spselect Portfolio Servicing is refusing a payment from the Federal and Texas CARES act to bring my defaulted mortgage current. I have been working with XXXX since XX/XX/XXXX and their CARES Act program to bring my default mortgage to date. The money is there. SPS says they don't like the legal language in the Mortgage XXXX. I have lived in this house since XXXX, am a widow and am raising a XXXX XXXX XXXX grandchild. XXXX.. .wiped me out. I have been XXXX XXXX for many years and was keeping my nose above water after my husband passed away in XXXX of XXXX. He left us penniless and with an IRS debt of over $ XXXX. The IRS doesn't care that he was sick and stupid even though through his entire life? He paid taxes like clockwork. I have applied, applied and applied with XXXX. who is managing XXXX Texas counties. I have been accepted.. .but SPS Servicing is throwing a XXXX into the machinery of receiving federal funds to get me out of trouble and keep me and my grandchild in our home. SPServicing should be investigated. They promised me ( via phone ) that my forbearance payments would be tacked onto the end of my mortgage. I do not have that in writing... simply words from some clerk doing work from their home in the height of COVID. Then... they demanded a full payment.... I am legal now, waiting to be foreclosed on. I have tired everything in my power to get federal help under CARE and it looks like that was going to work until SPServicing 's legal department threw everything out and said they wouldn't sign FEDERAL documents. Is this fair? What am I supposed to do? The IRS has a lien against this property. I owe $ XXXX against a home in very poor repair. My upstairs XXXX XXXX is on the fritze. Parts are falling off the house. Many repairs are needed. But.. I live in Social Security and Child Support.. which I just started receiving two years ago. Had to take my son to court to receive child support. Have had his child since she was XXXX years old. She will be XXXX on the XXXX of XXXX. I am old. XXXX. I am lost. I am about to lose my house because I TRUSTED SPSERVICING. They are XXXX XXXX XXXX. Nothing they told me on the phone? Is truth. XXXX XXXX XXXX
