On Monday the XXXX of XXXX I opened a checking account online with Citibank i deposited a {$370.00} cashiers check issued to me from XXXX XXXX the check was cleared and available the next day on XXXX XXXX I proceeded to wire transfer {$340.00} out and later that day I received a message that the transfer was cancelled it advised they could not reach me for further verification but I never received a call, email or text then later in the day I tried logging into the account again and I was locked out so I called the XXXX number and they looked into it and said that the check was fraudulent so I called XXXX XXXX and they said the check was cashed and deposited and there wasn't any problem as far as fraud so I called Citibank back and they finally got me to another dept. that after a long hold told me Citibank no longer wanted to do business with me and that I would receive a letter in and any remaining balance in 30 to 60 days i tried to explain that there must be a mistake and unfortunately I don't have these peoples names because I could barely understand them but i got no where I then went on XXXX and actually got a customer service rep from the states to call me her name was XXXX she looked into it and advised the same thing and also said 30 to 60 days and a refund if there was anything to refund I said well how could there not be a refund to the entire amount when I was blocked from having access 2 days after I opened the account? they will not tell me why they think its fraud I have offered any identification or anything else if there was doubt about who I am but i don't understand why they cashed if it was fraudulent which it wasn't now I have spoken with a number of people who are saying they do this a lot. Holding my funds for 30 to 60 days is unheard of especially when there isnt any fraud.
