I submitted a complaint previously because Bank of America had told me that I would not have to make any payments for a credit card I am paying off due to financial hardship I was facing as a result of COVID 19. Not only was their official response more than 60 days late, but their official stance was that even though their customer service rep had failed to inform me verbally that I was still responsible for paying the minimum, they had written it to me in fine print on the back of a letter they had sent me. I still have not been able got verify this and they have not provided me with a copy of this alleged letter. When I pointed out that I could not have reasonably known I was still responsible for making minimum payments during this time without being verbally told so, and being made to believe something else entirely while speaking to one of their reps, they told me basically that this is just how it is. As a result, the credit score I have spent three years rebuilding fell 50 points, hurting my chances of doing things like financing a car and has caused greater personal financial injury. These practices are unjust.
