I visited my local Chase Bank to add my son as beneficiary to my account. The bank employee made a mistake an entered my social security incorrectly to the document. A few days after my visit, I received an email from Chase Bank that my social security number had changed. I worried it was a scam, so I sent a secure message to the bank. They acknowledged sending the email and told me to call XXXX number. I called and could not access account using last 4 digits of my social security number. This occurred on XXXX. Since then I have requested help from them. I received a letter a few days ago asking I complete a XXXX and another form requesting Social Security verify my number. I don't understand why they are asking for completion of these documents. They entered my social security wrong on the document prepared by their employee. Why can't they re-enter the correct social security number?
