On XX/XX/21 I received a text message claiming to be from chase. The text contained a link and the following message CHASE : A payment attempt on your Chase account has been canceled. For more information please click here XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX I followed the link which asked me to sign in. A few hours later I received a call from someone claiming to be a chase representative. They provided their name and employee id, said that the website has been taken down, and advised me to change my login and password as well as canceling my debit card and requesting a new one. I completed all three suggestions and patiently waited for my new card to arrive. It is now XX/XX/21 and I still had not received my card. I proceeded to call chase and ask for the status of my new card being mailed out. I was told by the representative that there was not indication that my debit card was canceled and a new one was being sent out. The representative advised that my account did show that it was accessed by a chase employees employee on XX/XX/21 but it was a completely different rep mentioned in my account that I had never spoken to or heard of. My account and debit card was left unsecured as I was under the impression that my card had been canceled and a new one was mailed out. This is completely negligent and careless on chases behalf and I am now left with the worry of my information being released into the wrong hands. This is also not the first time that Ive had issues with fraudulent activity that was not done on my part but could not be explained by chase. This not only affects my current financial situation but any future financial situation that is to come. My information was exposed due to the negligence of chase employees and chase has done little to nothing to secure their customers personal information.
