Using my Social Security Card, i opened a credit account with Synchrony bank creating a opened end consumer credit plan. The account showed an excess of {$1.00} resulting in a phone call with Consumer relations Corporate Specialist XXXX XXXX XXXX, extension XXXX. When i spoke of 12 CFR 1026.11 - Treatment of credit balances ; account termination she said she understood exactly what i was saying. She lied to me, she didn't understand the law and she didn't fix any billing issues. She said she cant compensate me when i never asked for compensation. I asked that any amounts owed or held for my behalf be credited to my account, any unearned insurance premiums or rebated be credited to the account. The law states upon my requested this is to be done. Why is the law being looked over synchrony bank? The company admitted to not sending me the correct billing statement, but they have not made an effort to cure the credit balance that is in excess of {$1.00}.
