Please accept this written request to investigate the total payoff cost of my home in the amount $ {$340000.00}. This amount is extremely high considering my original loan amount was $ {$330000.00}. I have lived in this house for 15 years and Ive never refinanced or taken any money from my equity. There is a deferred loan modification in the amount of {$97000.00} done in XXXX which was supposed to be forgiven under the President Obama Hardest Hit Program. Under the terms of this mortification, the {$97000.00} was supposed to be forgiven after three years because I was substantially under water in my home where I owed more than the house was worth. In addition, in XXXX, Carrington Mortgage was given {$50000.00} from The Home Safe Georgia Underwater Assistance program. Despite doing two modifications on this home, theres no way I owe {$11.00}, XXXX more on this home than the original purchase of {$330.00}, XXXX in XXXX. I contacted Carrington Mortgage on XX/XX/XXXX and they had no answers for me as to why I owed so much money on this loan. They also could not find any information concerning the {$97000.00} deferred amount that is now included in my payoff amount. Nothing was settled and I was just informed to fax them a request in writing to further investigate the matter. I faxed the request to Carrington on XX/XX/XXXX.
