The debt is on my credit report and I have disputed this debt several time. I never lived at the apartment complex. I sent in information where I lived during that time; such as driver 's license and water bill. The credit bureau told me that was not the proof I needed. They said that I need some type of documentation from management. The people that owned the complex does not own it anymore. So, I called the debt collection agency and I explained to them that I did not owe that debt because I never lived there. I told the lady that was on the phone that it was identity theft and i am not going to pay that bill. She was very rude and did not want to hear anything that I had to say. So, I called a second time and I was transferred back to the lady and I asked her for documents to see what she has that I owe the debt. She said that she could not give that to me. She told me to call the police and refuse to talk with me any further. So, I wrote a letter with the consumer protection information on it telling her I would like a copy of the documentation, least agreement and any other information so I can see if I owe this debt. I also asked for their company information. The letter was sent certified on XX/XX/XXXX. They received it on XXXX XXXX. I have a copy of the letter.
