I applied for a CIticard on XXXX XXXX. They could not verify some information so they did not approved me but called me from two different numbers with instructions to call them back. The first number they gave me was XXXX and they gave me access code end in XXXX. When I called back the automated system could not connect me to anyone despite waiting a long time and then told me no one was available and disconnected me. They called another time from a different number and also left a message for me to call XXXX with my application ID and a security code. When I tried to call them the recorded message said they could not approve me, which was why I was calling, told me they were sending a letter and then disconnected me. At no time on either call did I get the chance to speak with a human to clear up the issue. This is horrible customer service and may be a great reason not to use Citicard for anything in the future. However they have now put an inquiry on my credit which will reduce my score and the reason they couldn't approve me is because they are confused about something. Clearly confusion reigns supreme at Citicard! This was likely due to a recent move so they wanted to confirm my address but I can't do that unless I speak to someone! This company is misleading the public and has terrible customer service.
