On the morning of XX/XX/2021, I awoke to a withdrawal made on my EDD BoA debit card for the amount of {$5000.00}. As any sane person would, I immediately called the bank, waiting for over an hour to be helped, I finally got a pick up on the other line. I placed the complaint/dispute and was issued a new card which would take 7-10 business days. I waited a few days and received my card. As soon as I activated that card, I had an IMMEDIATE withdrawal for the rest of the funds in the account in the amount of {$2400.00}. I again call and was hung up on about 6 times until I finally got a nice rep and transferred to make yet another complaint/dispute. I was then allowed to make the dispute, then was told there was an online account attached to my said account. She stated I needed to remove that account so any further withdrawals could not be made. Why wasnt I told this the first time I made the complaint? I was told this until my account was at XXXX. I was then issued yet another card. Its been over 10 business days. I have not heard a word and I have nothing to pay my bills. With my electric bill due in 3 days I have XXXX to pay that off. BoA is saying the consumer has zero liability. I dont feel that way. To be fair, I also feel it was an inside job because they first tell me someone needed to call and make the first withdrawal, then to tell me its a linked online account making the said transfers. Transfers take some days, why werent they immediately refunded? BoA, you are failing.
