It has been over 9 weeks of trying to unfreeze my new savings and checking account, and Citibank refuses to help. They flagged my account for fraud and will not even tell me why. I gave them many forms of I.D . but they are demanding a utiliy bill and pay stub. Because I do not pay utility bills where I live ( It is a temporary rental until XX/XX/XXXX ) I can not give them my utility bill. Because I am on XXXX, I can not give them a paystub. I did give them my XXXX statement from social security with the same address, and my social security number on it. That is my paystub, but they won't accept it. This is now a civil rights issue, because I am being discriminated against for not having a regular paycheck, and only a XXXX statement. I also gave them bank and credit card statements from another bank with the same address on them, and my drivers license. My drivers license address was not changed yet because I am living in a temporary rental. But I did send them a copy of the lease for the temporary rental to show a physical address. And I called to change the address on my account to the temporary rental so it would match. I just signed a lease for a new rental on XX/XX/XXXX and I updated my drivers license to match my new XX/XX/XXXX address. I can send them this future lease and address-changed drivers license, but I can not even get a call back from XXXX XXXX XXXX Citibank 's executive response office. He seems to be purposefully unhelpful, and that is why this dispute is going on 10 weeks. I requested another person to call me, but no one called yet. All I did was trust Citibank by opening a savings and checking account, while being completely honest in my application. Trusting them costed me literally 50+ hours in disputing time, lots of stress, and my XXXX scores have dropped over 100 points because they have my money locked up and I can not pay my bills. This is unfair. Please help me unlock my money so I can pay my bills. The only thing I could think of, as to why they would do this to an honest customer, is maybe they want to renegg on their promo offer? I opened the account on a promo offer to receive a bonus of {$1500.00}. Is this their way of keeping my money for months without having to pay the promo offer? Either way this needs to be resolved. Additionally, I have been a Citibank credit card customer for well over 10 years, with the same address on the credit card account. I also called to verify and activate the debit card they sent me for this new frozen account with no problem. So why would they mail a debit card to me to access the {$220000.00} on deposit, if they think I am a fraud? And why was my account status healthy when making deposits, and not healthy when I tried to access my money? None of this makes any sense.
