In the state of Florida a collection agency can not charge interest on a debt without it clearly stating so in an original contract. I have sent several letters to IQ Data notifying that they are damaging my credit by charging very high rates of interest month over month then I noticed that they were stating that they were collecting a debt for XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX so I thought that this maybe the result of identity theft. I contacted XXXX at XXXX who has notified me that the account actually belong to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX I then advised her that the information sent to me does not match whats listed on my credit report and there is no clause stating they can charge me these high interest rates she the proceeded to hang up the phone on me. I called back in and spoke to XXXX XXXX and requested to speak to a supervisor and she advised they were all in a meeting and proceeded to transfer me to XXXX who proceeds to hang up on me every time I request pertinent information about the account which I feel is a violation of my rights. Today XX/XX/2021 I advised her I had a consultation with an attorney to confirm that under Florida debt collection practices if they are allowed to do what they have been doing i have not hired an attorney I just have had consult with one and she rudely told me to stop harassing IQ data and to have an attorney call them on my behalf and XXXX. I am under the impression that I am entitled to an accurate and fair credit reporting and I feel IQ Data is defaming my good name and credit profile. I would like for it to be noticed that the balance listed is inaccurately reporting, the name is inaccurate for the original creditor, and I am being charged an extremely high interest rate on this debt. Please see screen shot of balances reporting for the month of XXXX the same month the " validated the debt '' the balance is listed incorrectly due to constant interest being added.
