I did apply a home loan through KBHS home loan ( KBHS ) for a new build property sold by KB home. KBhome required me to have " pre-approval '' through KBHS home loan even later or at the end that I use 3rd party lender for closing. As a result, in XXXX I did apply the home loan through KBHS home loan and was approved. They did pull my credit report ( hard pull ) on XX/XX/2021, which I did authorize during the application. In XXXX, the house completion date was approaching so I started to shop the interest rate and applied loan with 3rd party lender. KBHS hard pull my credit report on XX/XX/2021, without my consent and without any of my explicit, e-sign, email nor verbal authorization. That was definitely against my will. I have home loan and credit cards, but doesn't mean the creditors can pull ( hard pull ) my credit report at any time they like without my consent or authorization. I understand soft-pull is okay. In this case, KBHS did not provide the rates nor get my approval before they hard-pull my credit report. If they didn't provide a competitive rate for me to compare, how do I determine I should still go with KBHS and then let them pull the credit report? Since that was an unauthorized credit inquiry, I request the record of such inquiry should be removed from the 3 credit bureaus as a remediation.
