To whom it may concern, on XX/XX/XXXX, I paid my Chase Amazon credit card balance in full, for an amount of {$1100.00}. On XX/XX/XXXX, I discovered Chase had charged me this amount TWICE. I know I was charged twice, as my checking account balance decreased another {$1100.00}, and the two transactions had two separate ID numbers. I called Chase immediately on XX/XX/XXXX to tell them their system had charged me twice, and to refund the extra {$1100.00} they had charged. The response was it would be refunded " soon ''. However, I have called every single day since then, and Chase has not taken a single step to return this money. The representatives just keep saying : " soon '', " soon '', " soon ''. Taking 30-40 minutes out of my day to navigate their automated system, and explain my situation each time, has been a tremendous inconvenience. Likewise, {$1100.00} is a significant amount of money ; to have this taken from my account " in error '', and held on to for a week is a terrifying experience for someone may have been reserving that money for rent or a car payment. The fact that they can uproot someone's life like this, and take no action to remedy the situation, is unacceptable.
