I missed a call from XXXX ( XXXX ) XXXX. I returned the call stating it was a lady named XXXX XXXX. She stated I owed a payday loan ( continued to state they are illegal ) and that if I didnt pay my name and information would be turned over to the original county. There would be a nationwide search for me and I would be facing 2 felonies -defraud a bank and something about providing false information. She said they could make a payment arrangement over next 3 months but it had to be handled or I could go to jail. She said she had a daughter my age and wanted to help. She kept saying she wasnt a debt collector she worked for a lawyers office. She kept giving me different 1800 # to call and speak to XXXX to pay off the debt. She said I would have to call friends and family to avoid being arrested. They sent me a DocuSign agreement for repayment-I was suspicious bc it didnt state anything about a loan and said it was debt collection and had lawyers address. She only had an old email address I used over 15 years ago when I was young dumb and in college. If this was a debt it would have went on my credit report so I did not return her calls after the first day.
