On XX/XX/XXXX, I opened a credit card account with Chase Freedom XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, IL XXXX XXXX account number XXXX this account can be seen on my credit report ( See exhibit A ). I paid this account monthly as seen on the history from my bank payments ( See exhibit B ). On XX/XX/XXXX, I purchased a product for my XXXX through XXXX XXXX XXXX in the amount of {$370.00} ( See exhibit C ) and used the card mentioned above to pay for this purchase. Some time whet by and I did not install the product I had purchased and at the end of XX/XX/XXXX I realized the item I ordered was the wrong product for my XXXX. I contacted the merchant I purchased the product from, and they agreed to refund me for the purchase ( less shipping ), and I purchased the correct product using a different credit card. During the time frame between when I ordered this product and the time I realized the product was not the right product I had closed some of my credit card accounts that I was no longer planning on using and the account ending in XXXX and one other account at Chase were closed during this period. The attached exhibit D shows where the merchant refunded the amount of {$360.00} to the credit card ending in XXXX that I had closed with Chase. Exhibit E shows the transaction ID numbers from the merchant showing the original purchase and the amount refunded to my account ending in XXXX of {$360.00}. I spoke with the merchant and Chase on numerous occasions attempting to get this refunded amount tracked down and resolved. Exhibit F is a copy of the email I sent to the merchant after numerous discussions with Chase and the merchant. Exhibit G is a copy of the letter I received from Chase after they did an investigation of this matter and according to Chase this account never existed, they have no record of this account number or the transactions even though I provided them with all the documentation showing these transactions. Exhibit H is a copy of the last e-mail I received from the merchant indicating that his accountant has reviewed all these transactions and Chase ( who also processes the merchants credit card charges ) says I was credited these funds and the funds were not returned to the merchants account. I have discussed this matter at every level I have access to at Chase and provided them with this documentation and they still today claim that there is nothing they can do for me because they dont show this account existed.
