We received an email from a vendor instructing us to wire the funds to their bank. Once we followed the wiring instruction and wired the funds from our bank, Chase, we learned immediately that the wiring instructions were incorrect. We contacted our bank Chase and the receiving bank, XXXX XXXX immediately they would not do anything to assist us. Chase has indicated that we must first provide a 'Hold Harmless '' document releasing XXXX XXXX from all liability prior to Chase assisting us with this wire fraud. We when contacted XXXX XXXX immediately after the wire was sent, they would not put a hold on the account allowing the FBI to come in and do their investigation. Thus the fund is lost and the account has been closed.
