On Thursday, XX/XX/XXXX, Citibank told me that they re-ran my XXXXedit score from the initial applicaiton in addition to my wife 's credit score and my wife 's credit score had decreased 15 points from a XXXX to a XXXX. As a result, we would have to pay additional points totalling. We were never told that our credit score would be re-ran nor we were never made aware of our credit scores initially, so we did not know that a XXXX was the threshold to receive the fewest points possible on our mortgage. We were just told that we had excellent credit. I escalated this with upper management who told me that nothing could be done. We're closing on Tuesday, XX/XX/XXXX, so I was not even given ample notice to potentially seek out other lenders. The total is points amounted to an additional {$2200.00} in cost. In terms of my wife 's credit, we have not done anything that could've directly impacted it outside of some charges for the new house.
