Consumer Narrative
I have the Bank of America Premium Rewards credit card. The customer service at Bank of America has deteriorated to the point that it is nearly impossible to get assistance from any agent. You are given a confusing labyrinth of an automated system which simply hangs up on you if you make a wrong selection. If you are lucky enough to reach a customer service agent, they will tell you they can't help and transfer you to another department that will refuse to help as well. That is what happened when I called today. My credit card allows for a {$100.00} airline incidental rebate per year for incidental air travel purchases ( see attached ), such as WiFi or baggage. If the airline does not code the purchase correctly, you must call and provide proof that it was a qualifying purchase and they will manually adjust the balance for you. Recently, I took a two domestic flights on XXXX XXXX ( a qualifying airline ) and purchased WiFi ( an eligible charge ) for {$12.00} and {$16.00} for each leg of the flight. Due to the fact that this is billed by XXXX and not directly by XXXX XXXX, it is something that would need to be manually adjusted, which is what I was calling in today for. Attached you will find the credit card receipts showing the qualifying airline and amounts corresponding to my Bank of America credit card statement, as well as confirming it was for WiFi - again an eligible purchase. I ask that Bank of America please apply my travel credit to these eligible purchases.
