I was scammed by a phone number pretending to be amazon on XX/XX/2021 and transferred money to them. I ordered books that I had not received and was calling to get a refund. They said they needed to do it through my checking because I used my girlfriends card and since her name was not on the order it had to be mine. They asked for the last 4 of the debit and said they didn't need the whole number but it did not work initially so I allowed them remote access to see what was going on in the amazon app. This person then transferred me to a manager in the " banking department '' who walked me through the scam. I realized something wasn't right because this person started asking about bitcoin and cryptocurrency to which I have no dealings. I let them know that I would be hanging up and calling my bank. This person called me back from a XXXX number to which I let them know that I would be going through my bank. I tried to call and stop the transaction while it was pending but I could not. The number that XXXX provided as amazons number is XXXX, they then transferred me to a manager in the banking department at XXXX and this person had me fraudulently enter a verification code/transfer a dummy amount of {$490.00} to " XXXX XXXX '' to make sure they matched the account that was on file with amazon. This was through XXXX and the number provided for the transfer was ( XXXX ) XXXX.
