I purchased what was described as 2 calfskin leather purses, being sent from XXXX XXXX. I purchased them from a vendor on XXXX. I payed using PayPal credit. The amount was {$640.00} on XX/XX/2021. When the items arrived, they were plastic, horrible smelling knock off bags sent from XXXX. The vendor had closed their on line store through XXXX so I was no longer able to reach them. I disputed it through XXXX, who did confirm it was fraud. However they said bc I purchased through PayPal I had to deal with them. The first people I dealt with at PayPal said yes, it looks fake, and to return the items. But the return address they gave me had only a city and province in XXXX. No address or name. PayPal customer service kept telling me to just send it, as long as I have a tracking number it doesnt matter. But the post office cant send a package with no name or address. They even made me get a note from the post office saying that. Then they passed me off to the credit department, synchrony bank. They closed the dispute twice stating, you didnt return the items. I kept saying you guys refuse to give me a return address! So I opened the dispute for a third time. I never get any of their correspondence mailed as they are supposed to, but I just got a delinquent notice emailed. I opened it to see that they denied my dispute again stating the seller sent in his policys and it says I was to deal with him. I have no contact to reach him, the on line store was closed! So how could I reach them? Further this was already deemed as fraud by XXXX and PayPal ( when they said I just needed to return the items ). Synchrony banks response also said that the proof given by the seller was attached, but it wasnt attached. PayPal/synchrony bank has the sellers contact information, has never provided it or asked for a correct return address. This has been the most ridiculous experience. I have spent so many hours over the months on the phone trying to deal with it and ultimately end up sobbing because Im so frustrated. I will happily return the garage merchandise, I need an actual return address, but I refuse to pay over {$600.00} for plastic garbage from XXXX with paint all over it.
