They claim to have bought the debt from XXXX, XXXX, ( XX/XX/XXXX ) and are attempting to collect on a debt that is over 10 years old. This is illegal in CA and they still report this to the credit bureaus. XXXX has been ignoring my request to remove this old debt that is past the statute of limitations in CA. Portfolio Associates can not provide adequate evidence that this debt bought from XXXX is not older than 7 years. XXXX does not report this collections mark on my credit profile, while XXXX and XXXX does.
