I recently discovered my credit score had been affected as a charge card debt had been increased. As I have only a single credit card tie as alarming. I s som research to find the card was issued by The Home Depot, of which I have no knowledge. I immediately reached out to the store only to confirm that neither my name, address, prior address or SSN had any association with this account. They then directed me to their fraud department to open an investigation. In the meantime I disputed with all 3 credit reporting agencies. I received my first response from XXXX that as the card issuer confirms the information to be correct, it will remain. This is insane. Whos card is this and how does this just happen? Im supposedly an Authorized User for whom?? I have not advised or approved this for anyone and to be penalized for this fraud is an outrage. I in turn have redisputed this bogus fraud. I am in the process of purchasing another home and will not have this negatively affect my forthcoming interest rate.
