I have been working with Chase Bank to refinance my mortgage since XX/XX/XXXX. This isn't the first re-finance that I have gone through. I have gone through several of the years and have grown accustomed to how the process generally works. This current process has been disturbingly unorganized, noticeably filled with missteps and easily recognizable incompetence. There have been blatant attempts to stall by asking for data that clearly doesn't apply to my situation as well as several requests for pay statements. I have provided 3 months of pay statements. I have demonstrated at this point for sure that I am able to afford the mortgage. This seems to have elements of harassment or perhaps something much darker. I have never encountered such before. The communication has been mainly one sided with me responding to requests that don't make sense or don't apply to me personally. I have repeatedly asked for a response or explanation for the delays even escalating to the Mortgage Customer Care Specialist 's Team Manager for assistance. That happened on XX/XX/17. I haven't received a response yet to my concerns. I don't know what is going on with Chase Bank. I have never encountered such gross incompetence or lack of professionalism ever. I really don't want to pursue the refi but would like to know from the CFPB if there is a way that I could exit the refi that is going no where and retrieve the funds that I have already paid. Could you please assist me with my situation? Thank you for your willingness to help
