Consumer Narrative

On XX/XX/XXXX, I deposited a Cashiers Check in the amount of {$25000.00}. The bank made {$5000.00} available but put a hold for the remaining {$19000.00}. The hold is until XX/XX/XXXX. However, I called the issuing bank and they stated that the funds cleared on XX/XX/XXXX. This means that Bank of America has my money but will not release it to me. This is unethical. They are making money off my deposit while I am in debt and have zero financial resources. This is an abuse of their power and excessive to say the least.
