Consumer Narrative
Ordered a service for a move in XXXX of 2020 which was incomplete. When I explained to the credit card company, they filed a " temporary reimbursement '' then confirmed the merchant shouldn't be allowed to rebill me as I'd provided sufficient evidence. I later received from the credit card company, documents I'd had never been provided by the merchant " XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX MN '' claiming I signed additional documents approving an incomplete service. I clarified with the merchant whom didn't bother to come back to finish the service when called or lay down floor protectant ( leaving additional costs to me ) there were additional and inapplicable charges as well as missing items ( owner said, maybe it got lost on another shipment ) the company never fixed or replaced. They also didn't unbox and put everything away as agreed much like leaving with plenty of truck space and not returning to clear out the garage. Chase requested new documents every time and even after sending photographic evidence of the cleaners I needed to hire, the refusal of the business owner and corporate to provide insurance information to fix my damaged belongings, the empty promise the owner of the moving company " would fix it personally or deliver it himself '' and pay for the four trips back, they allowed the merchant to rebill. When I asked them why they would do such a thing Chase replied " we can't control the merchant ''. Ultimately I paid > {$5000.00} when I was informed the maximum cost by the personnel giving the quite would be {$3500.00} yet was charged for a partially empty truck bed and unloaded at the wrong address outside ( also charged for ) and never assisted to unpack and charged for as well. I asked Chase to contact their insurance company as I even filed a police report due to the movers stealing items and they still allowed the charges to remain. I requested my copies of the repeat filings they asked for from me and verbatim a staff member said " it's probably time to hire an attorney '' when accepting the moving company was allowed to submit forged documents and Chase accepted them.
