Consumer Narrative
On XXXX XX/XX/XXXX, I bought two tickets to the XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX, TN and purchased the tickets online through XXXX XXXX XXXX. The tickets were for seats XXXX and XXXX in section Tier Front, row XXXX and the purchase price was {$270.00}, which was charged to my Chase Freedom card on XXXX XX/XX/XXXX. Because of COVID19, the show was postponed several times and was finally rescheduled for this Sunday, XXXX XX/XX/XXXX. Because we has a trip scheduled for XXXX XXXX, I requested a refund from XXXX XXXX XXXX, which was denied because the show had been rescheduled, and was advised by the company to try to sell tickets via stub hub, which I did, but without success. In the meantime, the trip was canceled, again because of COVID, and I was happy that I would get to go to the show. I contacted Secure Box Office and it assured me the tickets were good, but I contacted the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) and called them. XXXX told me that there was no record of me having tickets for the show and that other persons had purchased the seats that I had reserved. XXXX had XXXX XXXX XXXX listed as a scalper and told me that I would likely not have success in contacting them. I have tried to call XXXX XXXX XXXX, but just get a recording. The company is obviously a scam and I have not hope of getting a satisfactory answer from them. Since I did not receive the product that I ordered, I contacted Chase to dispute the charge, knowing of course, that the charge was well over 60 days old. Chase refused to accept the dispute because it was old, but I explained that, because of COVID, I could not have possibly known that the tickets were not valid until now, Indeed, I could have just shown up at the XXXX on XXXX XXXX expecting to have seats and found out then. It was only because I was proactive that now know not to bother to drive to XXXX. It is clear that there was a billing error ( A reflection on a statement of goods or services not accepted by the obligor or his designee or not delivered to the obligor or his designee in accordance with the agreement made at the time of a transaction ) on my XX/XX/XXXX statement from Chase, although I could not have possibly known about the error within 60 days ( due to COVID ) of the statement date, as required by law. Is there any recourse at all to get my money back for the purchase?
