In XXXX, Portfolio Recovery Associated purchased an old debt of mine from XXXX. I hired XXXX XXXX XXXX to help me settle this account and a another in XXXX. In XXXX of XXXX, on my behalf, XXXX XXXX XXXX negotiated a " Pay to Delete '' settlement offer with Portfolio Recovery in the amount of {$6700.00}. Through XXXX XXXX XXXX, I began making on-time payments as per the agreement and completed the settlement, without ever missing a payment. Once the account was settled, Portfolio Recovery refused to list it as " settled '' to the credit bureaus, as a result, my credit score has fallen almost 80 points in less than a month. I have a copy of the settlement letter and also a copy of the payments made to them and they still dispute the account!
