I applied to open an account for the Citibank located on XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/2021. I explained to teller that I froze my information due to identity theft issues and that I did not want to apply for an account without first making sure I was able to do so. I received a confirmation that my account was opened on XX/XX/2021. I contacted the personal banker XXXX XXXX twice every 48hrs and he explained twice that the application was still in review, even though I have received two email notifications about account XXXX being active in my business name. I decided to go to Citibank, N.A XXXX XXXX in-person, and they explained to me that the whole time this account was closed. According to the Fair Credit Bureau Act a creditor must notify the applicant of adverse action within 30 days after receiving a complete credit application. I still have not received any information about this account. They have now stated that they have no information whatsoever about my business account
