I found out about a judgment filed against me on this old credit card debt from 2011 that was purchased by XXXX XXXX XXXX. I called XXXX and they told me to call XXXX and XXXX, debt collection lawfirm that has case. I called there - he told me my debt was increasing at a 9 % rate - I don't know if it is daily, or what. A {$10000.00}. debt I couldn't pay is now {$16000.00}. I told them I could not pay. How much to settle? He said XXXX authorized {$12000.00}. Still insane. I called XXXX and she kept saying they could not help me. I said the lawfirm said XXXX set the settlement amount. When I said it was up to XXXX she finally agreed to give me to Legal at XXXX. There was no answer from either XXXX number. I called another day and still no answer. On XX/XX/XXXX I sent a letter to XXXX XXXX and a copy of that to XXXX and XXXX. I want the judgment released and the item cleared on my credit report. I assume XXXX bought the bad debt from Citibank for about {$.00} on the dollar, equaling {$1000.00}. I also received many harassing phone calls over the last few months, needing to block a number - 6-8 calls per day, sometimes within the same hour. I am waiting for a partial record of those calls from XXXX.
