I applied for the Chase Southwest Rapid Rewards credit card in XXXX, which has a {$69.00} annual fee. When I initially called Chase to ask about the terms, I got an impression that the annual fee was tied to my Southwest Rapid Rewards program, which would give me discounted flight prices. I used the card only a few times in XXXX and once in XXXX. I had not used the credit card for any purchase since XX/XX/XXXX, but had to keep this card active and paid the annual fee every year just to get the " member discount rate '' to fly Southwest, which was never true. Recently I got charged again for the {$69.00} of annual membership fee, and I called Chase to find out what they really meant by the membership fee. The person who talked to me on the phone told me that the fee has nothing to do with the price of Southwest flights. I then asked her to consider refund me the annual fees that I paid for XXXX through XXXX because I had never used the credit card and had a misunderstanding about the fee. She said she could only remove the fee for XXXX and by paying the annual fee, I got XXXX Southwest points each time. However, it doesn't sound reasonable to pay {$69.00} just to get XXXX points. I feel being misled and these charges are not fair.
