On XX/XX/2020, I sat down with a Chase banker in XXXX, XXXX, New York and closed a business credit card. I paid off the entire sum of {$1700.00} using my personal checking account to successfully paid off the business card completely and closed it, so i was told. The banker, whos name I can not remember, assured me that the card was closed and that " no further was required. '' I trusted him. Then, in XXXX, I began to receive emails from Chase saying that I had an outstanding balance on the card and that I owed more money, even though I paid off the card in full, and closed It - and been told by the Chase banker that I sat with in XXXX that there was nothing left to do. Not sure how there could be a balance left, and confused as to whether or not the card was actually closed, I forwarded the notification emails from Chase to a banker in XXXX Colorado, because I happened to have his business card, in an attempt to understand what was going on. XXXX XXXX, the banker in XXXX Colorado that I was seeking clarification from - replied back to my email on XX/XX/XXXX saying " I can confirm that your business credit card ending XXXX is closed. The notification might have been scheduled to go out prior to your card closing, I would advise to just ignore the alert. '' Per XXXX advice, I did ignore the notifications from Chase. I didn't pay attention to the notifications because XXXX confirmed on XX/XX/XXXX, when I was seeking clarification, that the card was indeed closed and that I should ignore the notifications. In addition to this, I was told in XX/XX/2020 the card was closed and paid off by the XXXX banker that I sat with in XXXX. Then, around XX/XX/XXXX, my credit score dropped 118 points, because Chase reported to the Credit Bureau my " late payment '' on this card. The same card that two different Chase bankers assured me was closed and paid off. And when I feared It wasn't settled and wanted to know what was going on with the notifications emails I was getting - I was told to ignore them. I have been getting misinformation and been misadvised from Chase about this card since the time I went to close it and pay It off in XX/XX/2020. I was a good client to Chase - and did the right thing - I paid off the card in full, and then even asked to make sure that they didn't want more money from me. I have spent countless hours going in circles trying to fix this, for months now. One 1-800 number tells me to call a different 1-800 number and nobody does anything to help me. I have an email chain with XXXX, the XXXX banker that confirmed for me that this card was closed and advised me to ignore statement alerts that is 26 emails long going back and forth about this - but still, as of today, nothing has been made right. XXXX admits that he misadvised me and has told me that he is working to fix this, but nothing has been fixed. I want my credit fixed. I need somebody that is capable of helping me to find justice in this situation to help me. This was a banking error, and my credit being negatively effected like this is not my fault. This has gone on too long. My credit has not been as good as It should have been for months now already and it is effecting my personal life. I am spending all my time to fix this, meanwhile nobody at Chase is actually doing anything productive to help me.
