My daughter XXXX sent money using XXXX that is available on USAA mobile app to a man name XXXX XXXX that was supposed to be selling a XXXX XXXX puppy on XX/XX/2021 in the amount totaling {$1600.00}. The seller appeared to be scammer and once he received the money he couldnt be contacted anymore. Trusting that usaa was allowing the use of XXXX on their usaa app platform we assumed that our money will be protected if we used XXXX. When we called usaa of the scammer issue they inform us that we might not be able to get our money back since we authorize the payment. I feel as a consumer that a big bank like USAA should only offer services that are protected or backed by their bank in case of these type of fraudulent activities. My daughter worked hard for her money and to be told that our bank for over 15 plus years cant protect her money from these scammers is a shame. I will be switching our bank soon as we feel betrayed.
