On XX/XX/2020 I used Chase Banks online payment service to make an electronic payment from my checking account to XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX for my monthly mortgage payment for the month of XXXX in the amount of XXXX. The payment was withdrawn from my checking account but was never credited to my mortgage. I was told by XXXX XXXX XXXX that the payment was never received. After filing a dispute with Chase, I was told that the payment was sent to XXXX XXXX XXXX and Reporting and was provided with a Proof of Payment sheet which I sent to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and Reporting. I was informed via a letter from the mortgage company that the payment could not be found because the bank had not provided the correct information needed locate the payment, and because the transaction had the wrong account number ( when the payment was sent, the account number had defaulted to XXXX ). Chase has insisted that the information they provided is the only information they have and should be sufficient. They have let me know there is nothing more they can do to help. After filing a complaint against XXXX XXXX XXXX with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, I was told that another investigation was conducted and no payment was received. They urged me to work with Chase to have the payment reversed. I have attached a copy of Chases Proof of Payment sheet and two letters from XXXX XXXX XXXX.
