I had applied for an FHA mortgage in XX/XX/XXXX thru quicken loans. I went thru the whole process. I explained my situation that I had filed for chapter XXXX bankruptcy XXXX XX/XX/XXXX ) and had come out of the 2 year waiting period on XX/XX/XXXX. I also explained that I had used the XXXX forbearance and due to XXXX, I missed 2 payments ( XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX ) and I had made them up in XX/XX/XXXX. My mortgage is now up to date. Because I did not have a full 12 month payment, I was told that I was ineligible for a refinance with cash out. I felt that I was being punished for using XXXX forbearance and was not given information regarding the consequences of using the forbearance. After going thru the whole process when it came to closing, they told me that I was I ineligible for a loan. I still dont understand why. I have made all payments and my mortgage is current.
