On XX/XX/2021 I was trying to complete a purchase online when CITI sent me a text alert that my card was frozen and I had to call their fraud department. On the first call the lady told me their system is down for maintenance and she can't unfreeze it which is ridiculous! How do you freeze a consumers card with no way to unfreeze it?! I asked to speak with a supervisor and she hung up on me! Called back in got another rude gentleman who did the same XXXX when I asked to speak with a supervisor, and tried to refuse to provide an employee ID # or reference for the phone call. Then instead of the supervisor taking the call she was just telling him what to say to call back at XXXX!!! For a card that charges an annual fee it's not worth the XXXX poor customer service. I will be canceling this card.
