I submitted a complaint to the CFPB on XX/XX/XXXX complaint # XXXX. Within that letter I expressed that there was incorrect information on my credit report as a result of identity theft. The end result was a response from the Compliance Manager of World Acceptance Corporation, XXXX XXXX, verifying that the account was indeed fraud and that it would be removed from my credit report in 30 days. Fast forward nearly three years later, on XX/XX/XXXX, I received a disturbing phone call from XXXX XXXX XXXX stating that they were calling to collect a debt on behalf of World Acceptance Corporation. I told the XXXX XXXX XXXX representative that the account was fraudulent and that I will be contacting the CFPB. XXXX I received a copy of my credit report from three credit bureausXXXX XXXX and XXXX . On the XXXX credit report, I again see the fraudulent World Acceptance Corporation account. At this point, my rights have been violated. According to the law, U.S. Code 1681c2 - Block of information resulting from identity theft, both World Acceptance Corporation and XXXX failed to adhere. According to the law U.S. Code 1681 2- Congressional findings and statement of purpose, both XXXX and World Acceptance Corporation have damaged my credit worthiness, credit standing, credit capacity, character, and general reputation. Additionally, World Acceptance Corporation violated my right to privacy by relying my information without my consent, to XXXX XXXX XXXX. Thus too, placing XXXX XXXX XXXX in violation.
