Consumer Narrative
Bank of America said they charged the account {$230.00} in fees because " the ... ACH debit was returned unpaid because your account had insufficient funds. '' The B of A claim ID for the claim I submitted for the wrongfully withdrawn funds and imposed fees is XXXX. B of A will now withdraw the {$230.00} in fees that were temporarily credited back to me, from the account again on XX/XX/2021. The problem is I did not authorize the ACH debits on that account and the wrongfully taken funds were therefore returned to the account by B of A ; at least for now. However, B of A insists on charging me fees because I did not have enough money in my account to pay the wrongfully withdrawn money! I should not be forced to pay fees because a third party wrongfully withdrew money from my account without my knowledge or permission.
