ChexSystems is currently reporting erroneous information on my ChexSystem report. I have contacted ChexSystems on several occasions via certified mail on XX/XX/2021 & XX/XX/2021 with no resolution. ChexSystems is reporting an account from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX showing a balance of {$1500.00}, that I have no knowledge or relation to this supposed debt. ChexSystems has failed to provide me with sufficient verification of this erroneous information that is currently reporting on my ChexSystems file. In my letters to ChexSystem I asked for a procedural request, asking for any proof of this debt and what info they obtained from the source. ChexSystems responded to my first letter stating that the account was verified from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX used a XXXX Drivers License to verify the account opening. This is absolutely % 100 inaccurate as I have never lived in XXXX and I do not have a XXXX Drivers License. I contacted ChexSystems a second time, again requesting verifiable proof of this account that is negatively reporting on my ChexSystem file. ChexSystems responded to my 2nd letter stating that they re-investigated my concern and again stated that XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX verified the account with a XXXX Drivers License. ChexSystems is obviously just parroting what XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX is telling them, without conducting a proper investigation. Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. 1681g I have the right to demand that ChexSystems disclose to me all of the documents that they have recorded and retained their file at the time of my request concerning the accounts that is reporting in my ChexSystems report. I have also contacted the source ; XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX via certified mail on XX/XX/2021, with no response to date. I am demanding that ChexSystems removes this erroneous info from my report. This reporting error is causing me extreme financial difficulties while in the process of purchasing a home. Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, ChexSystems has failed to provide me with my basic rights as a consumer by not conducting a proper investigation of my concern. I find this entire investigation demeaning and disrespectful. As a member of the XXXX community and born of XXXX descent, I was stereotyped and profiled based on my last name XXXX. I am an XXXX born and raised citizen, who is very proud of my country. I was directly insulted by Affinity XXXX XXXX XXXX, stating on 2 separate occasions that this erroneous account was opened with a XXXX Drivers License. It is obvious that this is a reporting error from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, and ChexSystems refuses to remove this inaccurate information from my file. Between this and XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ignoring any attempted contact I try to make with them, I have no choice but to reach out to your office for further assistance with this matter.
